Udi began his career at B. Levinbook& Co. in 1994 and, in his more than 20 years of activity in Israel and the US, he has deepened his experience, expertise and a broad professional knowledge base in corporate and commercial law, banking, cross-border financing transactions, secured lending and loan syndication and trading.

 

In 1998 he joined the Banking Department of White & Case LLP in New York, where he practiced law for several years and gained extensive experience representing commercial and investment banks in the US and Europe, as lead agents in syndicated loans and other financing transactions. He also represented underwriters, investors and companies in investment transactions, securitization, and in private placements and public offerings of securities.

 

In 2002, Udi joined Erdinast, Ben Nathan & Co., and in 2004 become a partner at the firm. In this capacity, Udi advised entrepreneurs, startups and private and public corporations from Israel and overseas on complex loan transactions, financing and capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and securities law.

 

In 2006, Udi founded E. Schaffer & Co., which worked in collaboration with B. Levinbook & Co. and in 2016 the two firms extended and strengthen their affiliation to form the country's leading banking and finance practice. E. Schaffer & Co. acts as Israel counsel for the Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA) and it is the only firm in Israel to join the LSTA.
